端午節前夕，一場水中捉鴨比賽在廈門集美大學游泳池舉行，吸引眾多市民參與。「海上抓鴨」是流傳於福建閩南一帶的端午節傳統活動，抓鴨者須赤腳通過一根10公尺長、且塗滿潤滑劑的木樁，打開懸掛在木樁頂端的籠子，放出鴨子，再跳到水裡擒鴨。
